Andy Pilgrim (#4-GTS Chevrolet Corvette C5-R) "Its very greasy out there. I picked up something on the tires that made them go away. I can't keep up with the 3-car (#3-GTS Chevrolet Corvette C5-R) because they're using a different transmission.

Randy Pobst (#22-GT Porsche 911 GT3-RS) "We were eight horsepower down. We jiggle some wires and that fixed it. The engine management (system) caused the problem. We were a match to the BMWs in handling which makes it very disappointing."

At 1:48, car #42-GT BMW M3 GTR has passed car #6-GT BMW M3 GTR to move to second in class.
At 1:50, car #42-GT BMW M3 GTR has passed teammate #43-GT BMW M3 GTR for the lead in class.

David Brabham (#50-P Panoz LMP1 Roadster S) "I made a great start and had to push hard to put a gap between me and Andy (Wallace -  #38-P Audi R8). I had a few hairy moments on the track keeping in front of him, but I really loved it."

At 2:12, car #2-P Audi R8 (overall leader) into the pits. Fuel only, no driver change, gives up the lead to the teammate #1-P.
At 2:13, car #45-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R into the pits. Tires and fuel, driver change: Shane Lewis.

At 2:32, car #22-GT Porsche 911 GT3-RS into the pits with a broken right half-shaft. Driver is out of the car, and the car is out of the race.

At 2:45, checkered flag. Top three in class: (107 laps) #1-P, #2-P, #50-P; (97 laps) #3-GTS, #4-GTS, #26-GTS; (95 laps) #42-GT, #43-GT, #6-GT. On the last corner the #6 spun in front of the #43 giving up second in class.

The Audi streak continues with 11 consecutive victories in the ALMS going back to Sears Point last year. This is the second win of the season for the Corvettes and the first GT victory of the season for the new BMW M3s.
