ALMS Combined Morning Warmup

At 8:30, green flag.
At 8:38, car #8-P Cadillac LMP 01 spun in pit lane causing minor damage to the rear wing.
At 8:39, black flag all. Car #7-P Cadillac LMP 01 (Emmanuel Collard) backed into the wall at turn 7 damaging the right rear of the car. The driver is out and OK, but the team reports the entire rear end will have to be replaced before the race.
At 8:58, green flag.
At 9:07, car #8-P Cadillac LMP 01 off and on between turns 2 and 3.
At 9:09, car #10-GT BMW M3 GTR is pushed to the paddock with electrical problems.
At 9:10, checkered flag.

Only the #45-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R did not practice. (Note: the car did make it on the track, but the transponder was not working to record any lap times).

Emmanuel Collard (#7-P Cadillac LMP 01) "The tires were cold and we had no grip at all. I shifted into fourth gear, and completely lost the rear - I crash. I am OK but it was a big crash into the wall."

Note: Car #37-P Lola B2K/10/Judd will start at the back of the grid (in front of #44-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R) because of failure to start on the qualifying tires.

At 12:00, green flag.
At 12:00, Goodyear tire engineers report the track temperature is 100 degrees.
At 12:02, at the end of the first lap, all cars through cleanly, #1-P Audi R8 has the overall lead.
At 12:05, car #37-P Lola B2K/10/Judd completes the third lap in ninth place.
At 12:06, car #37-P Lola B2K/10/Judd moves up to eighth place after four laps, in contact with the other LMP900s.
At 12:08, car #10-GT BMW M3 GTR has gotten around #43-GT BMW M3 GTR for first place in the GT class.
At 12:09, car #50-P Panoz LMP1 Roadster S and #38-P Audi R8 side to side contact at turn 11, both continued without incident.
At 12:12, car #52-GT Porsche 911 GT3-RS reported smoking and dropping fluid.
At 12:13, overall leader #1-P Audi R8 has just lapped the class leading #10-GT BMW M3 GTR after only 9 laps.
At 12:14, car #22-GT Porsche 911 GT3-RS (Pobst) is reporting a lack of power in the car after dropping two positions.

At 12:15, top three in class: #1-P, #2-P, #50-P; #26-GTS, #3-GTS, #4-GTS; #10-GT, #43-GT, #42-GT.
At 12:21, after 14 laps, the leading Audis have an 18 second gap over the third place #50-P Panoz LMP1 Roadster S.

At 12:27, car #51-P Panoz LMP1 Roadster S is slowing on course, pulled off coming out of turn 6 onto the drag strip and is coasting down hill. The team reports the car is stuck in neutral.
At 12:30, top three in class: #1-P, #2-P, #50-P; #26-GTS, #3-GTS, #4-GTS; #10-GT, #43-GT, #42-GT.
