KNEIFEL TO LEAVE TEAM CORVETTE - In a jointly timed announcement today
in Detroit and Ft. Worth, Chris Kneifel has been named Chief Steward for
Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) Fed Ex Championship Series.
Although he will join CART immediately, Kneifel will co-drive with Team
Corvette at Sebring in the next ALMS event, March 17th. Driving in place
of Kneifel this weekend is Johnny O'Connell (# 3-GTS Chevrolet Corvette

Combined ALMS practice:
At 12:30, green flag.
At 12:35, #38-P Audi R8 off and continued at turn 7.
At 12:35, #11-P675 Lola B2K/40 spun at the chicane and continued, taking
down several markers.
At 12:36, black all (to repair the chicane). So far 20 cars have
completed a lap in this practice session.
At 12:40, green flag.
At 12:41, #51-P Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S spun and continued at turn 7.
At 12:42, #49-P Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S spun and continued at turn 3.
At 12:47, # 1-P Audi R8 off track to the left but continued.
At 12:47, #44-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R spun multiple times and continued at
turn 7.
At 12:51, #51-P Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S spun at turn 7, stopped on
course. Continued after a brief stop.
At 12:54, #44-GTS Dodge Viper GTS-R spun and stopped in the center of
turn 4, then continued.
At 12:55, #51-P Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S spun and continued at turn 7.
At 12:59, #51-P Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S off course and stopped at turn 3.
At 1:00, black flag all to retrieve the #51-P Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S.
