SUPERFLO 12 HOURS AT SEBRING PIT NOTES: Page 8 PRESENTED BY DODGE THURSDAY MARCH 15, 2001 The morning qualifying session for the Panoz GT Pro Series was canceled after driver Belinda Endress crashed in turn 17 in the opening moments of the session. The car slid into the tire barrier and then became airborne, coming to rest on its roof. Endress, who exited the car under her own power, was examined and released from the track care center and plans to drive another car in this afternoon's session. Endress was a regular the past two years on the Women's Global GT Series and had been among the fastest in practice for the GT class of the new Panoz Series. "The only thing I can tell you is that I got into the marbles and I couldn't save it. I was on my first lap and had gotten the tires good and warm because these tires are really good on their second lap. I was ready to rock and roll. After the car stopped, I realized I was hanging upside down and it was a weird feeling. I'd never rolled a car before. Some fluids started leaking and I wanted out of there now. I just unbuckled and crawled out. My neck's a little sore, and I'm sure I will be sore all over tomorrow. I'm glad I was in a good, safe car. I hate that I hosed everybody's qualifying session." Conditions for the final round of ALMS qualifying: 84°F, mostly cloudy, wind from the southwest at 17 mph gusting to 29 mph, humidity 62 %. ALMS GTS and GT final qualifying: At 2:37, green flag.
