Emanuele Pirro (#2-P Audi R8) "Normally we produce a fast lap on lap two.  Today that didn't happen. We were quite happy with the first lap, and the second lap was slower because of the heat. The practice showed all the time that the car was capable of turning fast times. The cars of last year and this year are outstanding sports cars. Everybody involved in motor racing knows that anything can happen in a race. We know we can produce the fastest times, but the race is another story." (about racing in the US) "Last year I had the opportunity to go around (North American tracks). It brings you back to when driving was a challenge. It was really a good feeling. You get more thrill and satisfaction. " (about Sebring) "This race has had good days and bad days, but will always survive because drivers like it and the fans love to watch."

Ron Fellows (#3-GTS Chevrolet Corvette C5-R) (were you holding back for the end) "No, we got a good lap. It was closer than we wanted (the gap to the Saleen). We were working on tire combinations and preparing for the race.  We're not as fast as last year, but that's ok. The Saleen is quick. We have never finished this race, that's our goal. Then maybe we'll have a chance to win it." (what did you think of your chances of winning at Daytona) "It was the same as being hit by lightning twice. Dyson was a strong competitor, as they always are there, but the ALMS field, overall, is much stronger. This track is hard on the gearboxes, hard on the tires and its bumpy. It's as tough in twelve hours as it is in 24 at Daytona."

Sascha Maassen (#23-GT Porsche 911 GT3-RS) "I was in the pits for the beginning of qualifying. I wanted to know how fast the track was. Qualifying is good for the ego, and for the press, but now we have to start working on the race."

Claudia Huertgen (#11-P675 Lola B2K/40/Nissan) "This qualifying session wasn't so good. We made a change before the qualifying and I think we went the wrong. So tomorrow I'll be faster. I hope to be under two minutes - in front of the GTS class." (about the race) "We'll take it easy for six or seven hours, then make a good run for the end."

Terry Borcheller (#26-GTS Saleen S7R) "We only missed it (the pole) by a tenth of a second. For a half second I know you can say its not in the car, but I know we had a tenth in the car, so it hurts. In a perfect situation, we'd have another half second, enough for the pole. I was going to go back out but we figured the Corvette had already run his fastest lap. We could have had an even better time. We've got a good set of tires for the race. We had to lean on that car pretty hard to get that lap. It feels real good (as a driver) to be that close after following them and the Vipers for so many year."

JJ Lehto ( #42-GT BMW M3 GTR) "We went out and we came in.  We had a problem with the throttle, so we couldn't qualify.  That's the first lap ever with that car for me, so I can't really say anything much about it yet."

Jörg Muller ( #42-GT BMW M3 GTR ) "Now we've done one timed lap.  The sad thing is that it's just little things that are slowing us.  The car came quite late and wasn't in the team's hands for very long.  But I'm not scared because nothing major happened, so I still look forward to the race."

Dirk Müller ( #43-GT BMW M3 ) "This was my first qualifying in the BMW and it was quite fun. I did a little mistake when I shifted from second into fifth instead of third, so there are still a couple of tenths [of a second] there.  But we have a really good car for the race, so I'm looking forward to it."

Fredrik Ekblom ( #43-GT BMW M3 ) "Dirk did a very good job, and I know we can continue to work on the car.  We will improve in some places, I think, although we are quite happy with the car."
