Series Description

The Historic IMSA GTP Series, launched by ALMS founder Don Panoz, will run events for historic Prototype sports cars in conjunction with three ALMS races this year. The events will be operated by Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) as part of a new partnership with the ALMS.

The races will be held in conjunction with ALMS events at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. (July 22); Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif. (Sep. 9) and the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta (Oct. 6).

Historic IMSA GTP Series races will be one-hour timed events, with the races to be run on the same day as and just prior to the ALMS race. Practice and qualifying will be held on days leading up to race day.
