ARTICLE 3 MEMBERSHIP/CREDENTIALS

3.1 SPORTS CAR MEMBERS

SPORTS CAR members are independent contractors who assume and take full responsibility for reporting and paying to the appropriate authorities all charges, premiums and taxes, if any, due or payable on any funds SPORTS CAR members may receive as a result of their participation in SPORTS CAR-sanctioned events, including but not limited to Social Security taxes, unemployment insurance taxes, compensation insurance, income taxes and withholding taxes.

3.2 APPLICATION FORMS

Application forms for a SPORTS CAR membership and/or credential may be obtained from SPORTS CAR headquarters or downloaded from www.professionalsportscar.com. SPORTS CAR is solely responsible for issuing such memberships and credentials. Membership and/or credential application forms must be fully executed, signed by the applicant and accompanied by the requisite funds. The mere acceptance of a SPORTS CAR membership and/or credential application form and fee by a SPORTS CAR official does not constitute the issuance of or approval by SPORTS CAR of such application. Applicants will be advised in writing by SPORTS CAR headquarters whether their application for SPORTS CAR membership and/or credential has been approved.

SPORTS CAR annual credentials are available for Entrants, Drivers, Corporate, Promoters, Teams, Media, Officials and VIPs.

Event credentials are required for pit access if you do not hold a SPORTS CAR annual credential.

SPORTS CAR is dedicated to the highest standards of safety and sportsmanlike conduct and all members and/or credential holders must conduct themselves accordingly. Unsafe or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in the imposition of penalties. Acts or omissions which constitute a violation of the SPORTS CAR Code or which are detrimental to auto racing, SPORTS CAR, its promoters, sponsors, participants or fans, may result in the imposition of penalties.
